Educational
Objective for the 15th Annual VAPAA CME Conference
The conference serves as a focal point for Physician
Assistants who are currently employed within VHA,
allowing them to participate in educational sessions
focused on improving care within the VA. They are
encouraged to network and share solutions to problems
encountered in the delivery of care, in the documentation
of care, and in the measurements of performance
of care. Patient safety, performance measures, communication,
and quality care are key objectives of every presentation.
Special breakout sessions are being offered to meet
the needs of those working at smaller facilities
who do not have access to educational programs in
the following areas: EKG Interpretation, Casting
Techniques, Professional Standards Board Training,
and Wound Closure (Suturing) Techniques.
