| Obama Declares the War is Over |
On Tuesday August 31, 2010 President Barack Obama, in a nationally televised speech, declared that the war in Iraq has ended. Already, approximately 100,000 troops are on their way home. "The seven year conflict is over", declared the President. What happens now remains to be seen, but one thing we can count on is our case loads will dramatically increase. Of the 100,000 troops coming home, many will soon separate from active duty and register with the VA. There is going to be a significant increase in our cases of PTSD, the sequelae of war injuries, and many other traumatic aspects of war ending concerns.
Are we going to be ready? I'm sure we will...but will our facilities? What do we need to do in order to be there when required and asked to care for America's Heroes? Your thoughts are solicited and encouraged. Feel free to make your thoughts known to us all. |
