NEW NATIONAL VA PRIMARY CARE LOCUM TENENS PROGRAM

The new national VA Primary Care Locum Tenens program will enable VA medical facilities to improve access to care while maintaining optimum health care quality for Veterans by providing an additional pool of qualified, VA trained primary care providers. The program will provide physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners in areas where VA medical facilities are experiencing shortages. It allows participants freedom to choose a practice area and schedule, travel nationwide, and a focus on patients while filling a critical shortage at VA medical facilities. The program will recruit, credential, train, and assign providers to sites with identified needs. We have an excellent PA opportunity with Urology service at the McGuire VA in Richmond VA. The job should be re-posted soon. The position is in the outpatient setting with a focus on Urodynamics. We had very few applicants on the first, brief posting. It will now be listed for both PA/NP’s.
